{Park}

So I haven't been out taking pictures as much as I'd like and the weather is finally getting nice so I've been needing to get out with my camera.  The park was an easy enough destination for a sunny Friday :) Decided to take the macro lens along and play a little.

    Cheers    :)

Niagara Adventures

So I'm doing a little catching up again, but I guess that can make it nice, makes me go back and keep looking at pictures and relive some of the memories.  So Memorial Day weekend was another adventure weekend this year, this time I was off to Niagara Falls.  I've never been before and about 2 years ago I decided I wanted to see the Falls, don't know why or what really got me thinking about it, I just decided . . . So long story short, I conspired with my travel partner in crime and we were off!
We had a lot to try to cram into a day and a half so we were off as soon as we got there! Canada was our first stop!  I took a lot of pictures of the different falls, and we got to get up close and personal, but until you're actually there and can see and hear the gallons upon gallons of water rushing over the side . . . I'm sure the pictures really don't do it justice.  On the Canadian side we went to check out the Journey Behind The Falls.  You take an elevator down and there's and observation deck right next to the falls and 2 viewing portals that are behind the falls . . .  and, no, you can't really see anything . . . well, a solid sheet of water.  The observation deck was cool tho, you walk out and the water is right there, literally . . .

It's kinda crazy . . .
What's even more crazy is going into the falls . . . Yup, on the US side we hitched a ride on the Maid Of The Mist boat and took a trip into the middle of the Horseshoe Falls. The view on the way was pretty, and then as you pass into the middle of the horseshoe was intense!  Between the water and the wind, it was almost blinding.  I was worried we wouldn't be able to see anything because it was so hard just to open your eyes, but luckily once you were in it got better.

Still hard to see and the pounding of the water was so loud, but at least you could open your eyes and look around. We got a little wet but it was nothing compared to how wet we got when we walked up the side of the American Falls after we got off the boat . . .
. . . yup . . .  all those little blue dots . . .  that was us . . . The view up high from the observation deck was pretty nice tho . .  :)
Then there was our Cave Of The Winds experience. This practically puts you in the falls . . .  seriously . . .

Yup, that would be water rushing over the stairs we were walking on . . . And, yes, it was cold!

And this pretty much sums up our views on the subject of getting wet and all these shenanigans . . .
Haha!!  We had a great time! Got to do and see a lot.  Definitely an unforgettable experience!

Was a lot of fun, would definitely recommend checking it out if you have a chance, and get wet!!!
Cheers!!
