Looking Back At 2013

If my year wasn't a little like a roller coaster I think I might worry, but any time you have those lows I think it makes you appreciate the highs that much more.  I am very blessed my life always seems to be filled with more highs then lows!!  While the end of the year is always that time to shut the book on the old year and look forward to the new year ahead, I enjoy being able to look back at the exciting things that happened over the past year. So here is my year in review :)

The Big Stuff!!
Every year there are a few big exciting things that happen, and this year was very exciting!!  In April we welcomed my first niece into the world!!

She's 8 months now and so precious, all smiles!! Though her due date was the 27th she couldn't wait to come play with us and came a few days early, we did not object!!  I love being an aunt and getting to cuddle whenever I have the opportunity!!

My aunt and uncle also celebrated a very special day in November, their 25th wedding anniversary!!

We all celebrated with a surprise wine tasting party, which I think everyone enjoyed :)

This years big news at work?  We moved . . .  again!  But this time to our very fancy, brand new, forever home!!

        Before:

It was quite the task, and over the 5 years we had spent at the old facility we had accumulated a lot more equipment then we had the first time we had moved

. . . but now we're home :)
In other gymnastics news, National Championships was in Hartford again this year!!  It was an action packed couple of days!!

Travels!
I have been so blessed that I've had the opportunity to do some traveling the last few years.  This year I kept myself busy with a few quick weekend trips and some nice vacations too :)
I made my way North to Boston a number of times this year and got to see a lot of the city, the aquarium, whale watching, duck boats, even the Blue Man Group!

I made my way to Vermont twice! I love it up there, but usually only make it once a year.  I am not complaining how things worked out, I just wish I could have stayed longer!!

New York City was another brief trip but we made the most of it and packed a lot into the day

Vacation!! Technically my first vacation was a working trip, but Shari and I made the most of it!!  It had been 17 years since I had been to Disney World.  I felt like a little kid!! It really is a place where dreams come true!! I only hope I can go back sooner then later!!  The last time I had seen the park there was no Animal Kingdom for instance, that was on the top of my list of things to see!! We got to all the parks, all the big rides and shows, got to meet up with friends, and even went to the clinic which was the actual reason for our trip!

September brought about an unexpected trip.  Mom approached me about taking a trip out to South Dakota with her.  I'm usually game for just about anything so why not?! We had such a nice time.  There was a lot more to do out there then I thought! We ended up hitting 7 of the top 10 attractions in the state including Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

Friends, Family, and Fun!
The rest of the year was made up of all those little moments filled with the amazing people in my life making memories, sharing laughs, and taking in the scenery :)

Hope everyone else's 2013 was as wonderful as mine!!
Can't wait to see what 2014 has in store!!
Cheers :)
