I don't know what it is about the beach that has been so appealing to me for a while now. We didn't grow up going to the beach, we had a pool, I could have cared less about the beach. The sand gets everywhere, and in New England the water is always so cold, and I can't stand the taste of the salt water on my lips, but the feeling of your toes in the sand and the sun on your face and the waves crashing . . . I don't know what it is. It's just peaceful. I could stay all day and be content. Its easy to walk along the water taking pictures for hours on end. Not that the scenery changes much, just sand and water and shells and seagulls . . . but once I get there I don't want to leave . . . Like I said I don't know what it is but I learned a long time ago to trust my gut . . . so I go and I breathe . . .
Just breathe
Cheers :)

Disney Flashback . . .
So my original plan was to watch some old super 8 films, but the motor on the projector wasn't cooperating and there was a chance the bulb was going to burn the house down . . . so I needed something else to entertain myself . . . found a box with some old slides, so I pulled out my scanner and started going through them. There were a bunch of old ones of my family and I found a set from Disney World that I can only assume my parents bought on their honeymoon back in 1977. I had to laugh as I was going through them, as much as some things have changed over the last 38 years, some things looked surprisingly familiar. I know I'm a bit of a Disney fan and I have some friends who are fanatics too, so I thought everyone might get a kick out of this . . .
Some are familiar, some, like the shot of River Country, doesn't exist any more (at least not to the public), the Polynesian and Hall Of Presidents have been updated of course.
Now a little side by side comparison . . .
Main Street USA:

And at night:

The Haunted Mansion:

Rocket Ships in Tomorrowland:

The Electric Parade:

Sorry the cropping is a little weird on some, but they were square slides and I have a rectangular slide scanner, but you get the idea. Thought they were fun though and hopefully my Disney friends got a kick out of it like I did!
Cheers!!
