Chicago Day 4

It was another busy day!!
We started off heading into the city again, there was a little more traffic and some of the roads were closed off because of the Taste Of Chicago that the city is getting ready for, but we made it to the Shedd Aquarium!!
There were all kinds of fun things going on at the aquarium!!
There was a big jelly fish exhibit going on that was neat to see, all kinds of different jellies and lots of facts about them

When I was looking up the aquarium before the trip I found out they had dolphins there!! I was so excited!! Mystic used to have dolphins and they're my favorite so I couldn't wait to see them. What made it even more exciting, we found out when we got there that a baby boy dolphin had just been born at the end of May!!

They were so cute swimming and playing together :)

We got tickets to the aquadic show through the City Pass. The setting for their show is beautiful!! Lots of rocks to give it a natural look, a huge pool, and a big round window that looked out at the lake.
I was hoping for a dolphin show but we got to see the belugas instead

It was a nice show :)
We also got tickets to a 4D show, we chose the Ice Age 3 show which was funny!!
Then we had the rest of the exhibits to look through!!

At the sting rays they would swim right under your feet

 This turtle was huge!!

They had these cute monkeys, this guys was so tiny!!
Once we were done walking around the aquarium we decided to head down to Millenium Park.
Since it was only about a mile, according to the GPS on my phone, we decided to walk.  It wasn't a bad walk, but we did get detoured around a park. One of the main roads was blocked off for the Taste Of Chicago and they also fenced off the park so we had to walk all the way around to get in . . . then we almost couldn't get out!! We did manage to get there to check out the sights!!
We saw the Buckingham Fountain in the park first:
Then we got the Millenium Park
Something about finally making it to "The Bean" made me feel like I was officially in Chicago :)

There was some other art in the park like the fountain
We walked back and spent a little time relaxing by the lake

So grateful for beautiful weather and wonderful friends!!
Day 5 will be up soon about our adventures at the Fields Museum and Navy Pier!!
Cheers
